Job Description

Join our team at TownTasks as a Retail Loss Prevention & Safety Associate. Ensure the safety and security of our retail environment while upholding IKEA values.

Responsibilities

Ensures the safety and security of the people and property per local regulations
Completes safety, security, and compliance audits and trainings
Maintains critical safety equipment such as alarms, radios, and security systems
Reports and follows up on incidents that occur
Responds to and coordinates emergency situations in work areas such as burglar alarms, fire alarms, active shooter and other emergency events

Qualifications

2-3 years of relevant work experience in safety, security, compliance, loss prevention, and/or asset protection experience in a retail environment
Must have strong safety and audit background/writing skills experience
Strong de-escalation capabilities and ability to identify suspicious behavior/activity
Strong leadership capabilities and values aligned with IKEA values
Punctual, responsible, and a critical thinker
High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidates in New York, Oregon, and St. Louis, MO, must be eligible to obtain a security guard license as required by applicable local law
