Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist plans, organizes, and monitors the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received from suppliers or production.

Responsibilities

Monitors and manages the shipping and receiving of raw and finished materials within the facility
Operates warehouse equipment such as a forklift or other lift equipment to transport material within the plant
Inspects and verifies products, materials, and equipment before storing in warehouse
Reviews all shipping and receiving documents to ensure accuracy
Manages inventories in the warehouse including arranging and organizing products and materials
Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse to ensure FIFO principles are followed
Ensures compliance of safety procedures and practices in warehouse operations
Maintains cleanliness at the warehouse site
Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Able to work well within team environment
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong mechanical background and ability to operate material handling equipment
Ability to use standard office equipment
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work well with others
Able to lift 50 pounds
