Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at GameChange BOS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements, creating technical documentation, collaborating with various departments, drafting component specifications, managing projects, conducting RCA & Failure Analysis, and maintaining excellent communication.

Responsibilities

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

Interpret and fulfill customer specifications and project needs
Create design review documents, technical reports, and justifications for clients
Work closely with sales, Electrical design, manufacturing, quality, Purchase, testing, and service teams
Draft technical specifications for components like Bushings, Fuses, tap changers, current transformers, Gauges and other Fitting and accessories
Ensure timely project completion and provide support to the shop floor
Competent in carrying out Root Cause and Failure Analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to report to higher management in US & India

Qualifications

Senior Electrical Design Engineer Skills & Requirements:

7 -10 years of experience in Design of oil immersed Power and distribution transformers
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design, Heavy Machine Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
In-depth knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards
Highly skilled in 3D Auto-CAD, Inventor/Solid Works
Capable of mechanical design up to 25MVA 69kV Class per IEC/IEEE/NEMA/UL/CSA standards
Experience in mechanical design optimization and cost reduction
Able to mentor and train Junior Engineers
