Job Description

Abbott is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Portsmouth, VA responsible for managing lab supplies and overseeing inventory in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 4-6 individuals in the warehouse
Support warehouse manager in space planning and inventory forecasting
Train team on ERP systems and picking procedures
Pick items accurately according to specifications
Operate rolling cart to move products
Assist in stocking, loading, unloading, and storing products
Coordinate material transactions and work with Inventory Control
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
Perform quality audits on shipment receipts
Assist with process improvements and lead meetings

Qualifications

High school education or GED required
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and inventory management
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management preferred
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
