Job Description

Seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Auto Parts Counterperson to assist customers in identifying and purchasing the appropriate automotive parts and accessories.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously.
  • Identify and source the correct auto parts and accessories based on customer needs and vehicle specifications.
  • Provide expert advice on automotive parts, including compatibility, performance, and installation.
  • Process customer transactions efficiently, including cash, credit, and special orders.
  • Maintain an organized and clean parts counter and stock area.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking parts.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of parts orders to customers.
  • Handle returns and warranty claims according to company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive products and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to ensure parts availability and timely delivery for vehicle repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive training or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in auto parts sales or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale software.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy parts as required.
