Job Description

Responsible for providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on assigned stores' HVAC, ice machines, and refrigeration systems for Food Lion brand stores.

Responsibilities

Perform and/or oversee the day-to-day efficient operation, maintenance, and repair needs of assigned stores, including HVAC, electrical, lighting, energy management, and hardware.
Plan and generate work to be performed, obtain necessary tools, equipment, and materials, and complete assignments in accordance with EPA Regulations.
Inspect and evaluate all areas of assigned stores, offer suggestions for improvements, take corrective action when necessitated, and act as a trusted advisor to recommend repairs and upgrades.
Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, coordinate preventive maintenance, communicate building operations status, and conduct troubleshooting of controls.
Analyze mechanical operation of refrigeration and HVAC units, facilitate timely repairs, and maintain equipment efficiently.
Respond to work order requests and after-hours emergency calls as needed.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
EPA Certification (Universal)
State Licensures, if required
3+ years' experience in a related field
Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to climb ladders, lift/carry heavy items, answer emergency service calls, and travel daily in a company-provided vehicle.
