Job Description

LiveOnNY is seeking a dedicated Family Engagement Coordinator to provide on-site support to assess family dynamics, lead family donation conversations, and offer bereavement support to potential donor families.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality bereavement support to potential donor families.
Facilitate donation opportunities by keeping hospital staff informed.
Educate potential donor's Next-of-Kin (NOK) about donation options.
Obtain authorization for donation and conduct risk assessments.
Support donor families through the donation process.
Collaborate with hospital personnel to discuss donation opportunities.
Complete accurate documentation of donor-related activities.

Qualifications

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Preferred.
Associates Degree Preferred.
Relevant working experience in patient services, sales, or crisis management.
Certification or license in nursing, social work, grief counseling preferred.

Preferred skills: Ability to connect with an audience, Public Speaking, Emotional Intelligence, Outstanding communication skills.

This role requires frequent travel and ability to commute to different hospital partners within our service area.
