Job Description

TownTasks is seeking an Associate Clinical Professional Development Educator to develop and provide orientation, staff development, and continuing education for nursing and related departments.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement orientation programs
  • Assess new nurses and plan individualized orientation programs
  • Collaborate with Nurse Manager to identify preceptors
  • Provide staff development and coordinate needs assessments
  • Participate in clinical service meetings and provide guidance to nurses
  • Deliver mandated in-service programs and orient staff to new equipment and procedures
  • Communicate with nursing management and actively participate in unit meetings
  • Make rounds to assess staff education needs and carry out special projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
  • BCLS and specialized certifications as needed
