Job Description

Lead staff of three including one manager, overseeing payroll function for a large, multi-state workforce (over 3k employees). Ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all payroll operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing payroll team.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Oversee internal controls, data integrity practices, and payroll compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and system integrations.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and application of complex pay components.
  • Stay up to date on evolving payroll legislation.
  • Develop and deliver KPIs and executive-level reporting.
  • Act as escalation point for complex payroll issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive payroll experience.
  • Strong experience managing payroll operations in a high-growth, multi-state environment.
  • Expertise with Workday Payroll, UltiPro, or comparable platform.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred.
