Job Description

Join PsychPlus, a rapidly growing mental health organization, as an Assistant Controller to support financial operations and strengthen internal controls.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Support month-end and year-end closing process
Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and regulatory filings
Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or Assistant Controller role
Strong experience with Sage accounting software
Excellent knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Experience in healthcare or mental health services a plus
