Job Description

Join our team as a Transit Customer Service Specialist in the Communications Department. This role involves responding to customer calls in the New York City Transit Subway and Buses 511 Customer Contact Center.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer calls in the New York City Transit Subway and Buses 511 Customer Contact Center
  • Assist customers with travel itineraries, reduced fare claims, safety issues, commendations, and complaints
  • Enter data into CRM system for investigation and respond to customer inquiries
  • Perform inbound and outbound customer interactions by phone and chat
  • Collaborate with Lost & Found using the Chargerback tool

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of MTA subway and bus systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Keyboard proficiency of 40 words per minute
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven call handling skills in a fast-paced call center environment
