Job Description

TownTasks is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage all payroll processes for employees across the US and Canada. This role will involve overseeing payroll operations in multiple states and managing vendors responsible for running payroll. Strong proficiency in UKG software is required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process payroll for employees in the US and Canada
  • Handle payroll for employees in multiple states
  • Oversee and manage vendor responsible for running payroll in Mexico
  • Support pre- and post-payroll activities
  • Review and reconcile quarterly and annual filings
  • Manage year-end payroll activities
  • Process leave disability pay and workers' compensation
  • Accurately track hours worked and calculate overtime pay
  • Ensure compliance with minimum wage requirements and legal regulations
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports
  • Address and resolve payroll issues and discrepancies
  • Maintain and update payroll systems
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments
  • Prepare and maintain payroll documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations in the US and Canada
  • Proficiency in UKG software and multi-state payroll
  • Experience with state disability insurance and tax setup
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
