Job Description

The researcher will support photometric analysis of sources in the fields of galaxy clusters. The primary purpose is to increase the number of lensing constraints in close projected proximity to 'SN H0pe.' SN H0pe is a gravitationally-lensed Type Ia supernova that yielded a value for the current rate of expansion of the universe.

Responsibilities

Match the point-spread functions between different filters.
Subtract the background 'intracluster light' and perform multi-band photometry.
Search for transient sources and analyze flux profiles.
Fit Spectral energy distributions to obtain photometric redshift.
Summarize contributions in written and visual form.

Qualifications

Competency with JWST/NIRCam data sets.
Proficiency in Python programming language and photometric analysis codes.
Experience with galaxy subtraction codes.
