Job Description

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Producibility Engineer to drive producibility and industrial improvements at Casting suppliers. This critical role is important to the recovery of the casting supply chain and ultimately the Power and Controls execution.

Responsibilities

WIP tracking
Casting supplier root cause and corrective action projects specific to castings
Delivery assurance
Strategic producibility fixes for current production and future design
Drive engineering changes through the sustaining teams
Solidification modeling and analysis for new and existing designs
Track defect trends and develop solutions for throughput improvement
Evaluation of casting cores for additive sand optimization

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of experience or 12 years of relevant experience without a degree
U.S. citizenship required
Sand and investment casting experience preferred
Manufacturing Engineering degree or relevant experience
Experience in Producibility Engineering or Design for Manufacturability & Assembly processes
Solidification modeling experience
