Job Description

The Warehouse Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, moving and placing materials efficiently, and loading and unloading trucks while adhering to safety and inventory management procedures.

Responsibilities

Use a cherry picker forklift to place or remove large items on warehouse shelves.
Inventory and cycle counting.
Loading and unloading delivery truck.
Picks orders accurately within standard timeframe, ground picking included.
Packs orders accurately within time standards and produces required paperwork.
Puts away products accurately and timely.
Maintains 5s model by standardizing, sorting, straightening, and sustaining throughout the warehouse.
Works with good intention and a focus on relentless improvement.
Follows processes in a detail oriented, accurate and consistent manner.
Works to become the expert and cross-trains with team members in the various work activities of the warehouse.
Demonstrates understanding by carrying out written or oral instructions correctly.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation, does other warehouse duties as required.
Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers, coworkers, managers including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Respectfully takes direction from the manager.

Qualifications

Understanding of warehouse operations is preferred.
Ability to interpret and carry out a variety of instructions in written, verbal, or schedule form.
Ability to follow workplace rules and procedures.
Valid forklift/pallet jack experience preferred.
