Job Description

The Distribution Center Operations Manager oversees operations within a specified shift of a regional distribution center, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and motivate shift employees.
  • Set goals and provide shift direction.
  • Ensure department milestones/goals are met.
  • Oversee shift operations for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other shift managers.
  • Ensure proper documentation of shipments.
  • Manage resources and budgets.
  • Implement quality assurance standards.
  • Address escalated issues and promote safety culture.
  • Conduct safety audits and training.
  • Act as main point of contact for shift-related issues.
  • Prepare and present shift reports to management.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
  • Lead special projects to improve operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in logistics, business, or related field.
  • 6+ years of operations or logistics experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/WMS software.
