The Nursing Assistant/Behavior Intervention Assistant (NA/BIA) works within the Community Living Center (CLC) under the guidance of the Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe physical and emotional care to veterans in various settings.
Assists with the development and implementation of behavioral management programs for residents.
Observes residents' interactions, documents responses, and provides feedback on interventions.
Initiates and conducts group activities to meet psychosocial needs.
Recognizes and addresses behavioral changes, including potential aggressive acts.
Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Completion of a Nurse Aid Certification course or related education.
Ability to provide patient care and follow care plans.
Effective communication skills.
