Job Description

SMBC Group is seeking a Lenders Finance Analyst to join their team in New York. The Analyst will be responsible for reading and reviewing financial statements, preparing spreadsheets, and credit applications.

Responsibilities

The Analyst will evaluate the performance and stability of cash flows, assess companies' ability to repay debt, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
  • BA/BS in Finance or related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to read financial statements and prepare spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with corporate finance and accounting rules
  • Knowledge of Recurring Revenue Loans or Project Finance is a plus
  • Experience with research databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ
