Job Description

The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including financial statement preparation, consolidation, intercompany, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and various analyses. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliation reports.
  • Lead month-end close process with CFO.
  • Oversee sales tax data filing for accuracy.
  • Support CFO in compliance documentation process.
  • Review journal entries and transactions.
  • Collaborate on sales projections, budgets, and planning.
  • Act as liaison with auditors and vendors for data accuracy.
  • Supervise junior accountant and internal production team.
  • Prepare financial statements and serve as audit point of contact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, 1 year in managerial role.
  • Experience in retail or fashion industry preferred.
  • ERP system experience preferred.
  • Strong US GAAP and technical accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
