Job Description

Seeking a motivated Small Instruments Repair/Service Technician with hands-on technical experience in equipment service and repair. Training available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Perform general service and repairs on microscopes and laboratory instruments, both in-house and on-site.
Service and troubleshoot various equipment types, including binocular, trinocular, and multi-headed microscopes.
Provide on-site service to customer accounts in hospitals, laboratories, schools, research facilities, doctor's offices, and industrial settings.
Inspect customer reports and instruments to determine the scope of issues.
Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, supervisors, and team members.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment to resolve technical problems.
Maintain accurate documentation, including field service reports.
Assist with light warehouse duties, such as maintenance, shipping, and receiving.

Qualifications

Hands-on technical experience with equipment installation and repair.
Basic understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
A valid driver's license.
Experience servicing microscopes or small laboratory/medical equipment.
Ability to analyze, evaluate, and troubleshoot small, complex components.
Experience with component-level troubleshooting and repair.
