Job Description

As a PT Outbound Freight Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, inspecting and cleaning trailers, and ensuring proper handling of freight.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight onto and off of equipment
  • Prepare, sweep, inspect, and clean trailers before loading freight
  • Use safe lifting techniques to properly handle freight
  • Select and use proper freight handling equipment
  • Plan cube utilization and weight distribution when loading freight
  • Count and inspect freight, document any shortages or damage
  • Properly block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test
  • Previous experience as a Forklift Operator, Dock or Warehouse Worker, or Material Handler preferred
  • Previous Forklift Certification preferred
