Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor detainee activities in various facility areas
Conduct counts and provide emergency response
Provide security in program activities and supervise labor crews
Conduct shakedowns for contraband materials
Initiate disciplinary reports on detainees
Ensure prompt assistance to detainees in case of injury or illness
Promote facility cleanliness and report maintenance needs
Respond to emergencies as part of special teams

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
College coursework or training in behavioral sciences preferred
Ability to work overtime and handle physical and mental stress
Work experience in a correctional setting preferred
Must be at least 21 years old
