Responsibilities

  • Greet and attend to patients professionally and compassionately
  • Facilitate internal communications for efficient appointment flow
  • Maintain and update information in databases
  • Identify patient responsibilities based on insurance benefits
  • Collect payments and perform daily reconciliation
  • Confirm authorizations for drug approvals
  • Provide information to patients, physicians, and staff
  • Maintain lobby and public spaces
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
  • Promote effective working relations
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Manage inventory of clerical supplies
  • Report safety concerns
  • Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Basic typing and mathematical skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology (preferred)
  • Bilingual (preferred)
