Job Description

The Administrative Specialist II provides senior-level clerical, administrative, and project support to a Vice President. This role involves handling complex and confidential issues and requires a high level of department-specific knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Performs senior-level administrative and technical functions for the unit
  • Makes technical decisions by applying policies, regulations, and protocol
  • Organizes unit events and manages external stakeholders
  • Involved with Budget and Grant Management
  • Schedules appointments and maintains calendars
  • Prepares and creates memos, emails, invoices, etc.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or 60 college hours and three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, or work-related experience
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
