Job Description

Join our team as an Agronomy Sales Associate in Burkeville, VA. This position offers on-the-job training in various functional areas within the Agronomy field, allowing you to develop specialized knowledge and skills while meeting sales and operations objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop a general understanding of Southern States business
Assist with sales, operations, and customer service
Work with Agronomist and Operations Managers
Solicit sales and provide technical expertise to customers
Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry trends
Coordinate sales efforts and develop prospect lists
Provide technical assistance to customers
Utilize CRM Tool to maintain customer records
Promote company programs as sales tools
Represent the Cooperative professionally
Participate in crop scouting and tissue sampling
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in agronomy, ag business, or related field preferred
1-3 years of agriculture industry experience preferred
Knowledge of Crop Precision Ag programs
Effective communication, organizational, and presentation skills
PC proficiency in Microsoft Office
Able to travel up to 95%
