Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload packages, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit.
Navigate efficiently through local routes, utilizing GPS and maps to optimize delivery times.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
Use company-provided applications on your own smart phone to allow for tracking of deliveries
Handle heavy lifting as required for the loading and unloading of goods.
Must have a clean and safe driving record
Must be able to read/write/speak clearly
Must have reliable transportation to work

Qualifications

Previous experience as a courier driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with the Ann Arbor region area is preferred
Experience in warehouse environments is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing deliveries.
