Job Description

Packaging Corporation of America seeks a Shipping Supervisor to manage warehousing, inventory control, and shipping of finished goods in an efficient and safe manner.

Responsibilities

Direct all activities associated with outbound and inbound shipments
Schedule work, coordinate production activities, provide oversight of employees
Engage in employee development activities and make recommendations on hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions
Ensure a clean, safe work environment and conduct employee training
Analyze shipping department performance and implement process improvements
Investigate customer complaints and manage inventory

Qualifications

High school diploma required
4+ years of experience in a shipping department
Previous supervisory experience
Ability to work flexible hours
Knowledge of machinery, procedures, and manufacturing systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
