Job Description

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Aquatics to lead aquatic and sports programs, overseeing facilities, staff, and community engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate aquatics and sports programs.
  • Manage daily operations of facilities and staff.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise aquatic and sports staff.
  • Collaborate with community partners and ensure safety compliance.
  • Create and manage budgets, develop marketing strategies, and plan events.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in aquatics and sports management.
  • Current certifications in lifeguarding, WSI, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Knowledge of NYC DOH regulations and aquatic safety practices.
  • Strong budget management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
