Responsibilities

Establish and implement therapeutic group/individual therapy programs
Conduct individual assessments of patients' strengths and weaknesses
Develop treatment goals and objectives based on assessments
Implement therapeutic interventions utilizing various modalities
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
Write progress notes and maintain records
Prepare supply requisitions and maintain inventories
Coordinate and supervise auxiliary staff
Provide coverage to other service areas when needed
Develop and conduct departmental training programs
Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Assignment Level II
1. A valid License issued by the New York State Education Department to practice as a Creative Arts Therapist; and
2. Two years of full-time, paid, professional experience in creative arts therapy.
