Job Description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting the payroll process in the accurate and timely processing of union employee payroll for all US work locations while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in weekly union payroll process for multiple states and various unions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review payroll documentation for accuracy through audit reports and make any necessary adjustments
  • Update union pay scales as necessary
  • Ensure accuracy of union benefit contributions
  • Assist in the tracking and accuracy of all garnishments and deductions
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a payroll-focused role
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and work in high pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills and very detail-oriented
