Job Description

The Manager of Labor Engagement Diversity Inclusion oversees Equal Employment Opportunity, Labor and Employment Relations, Diversity and Inclusion. They manage labor relations functions, including grievance administration, collective bargaining agreements and arbitration hearings. The Manager builds partnerships across the Division to deliver value-added services to employees and management and contributes to effective working relationships with internal clients. They also stay up-to-date with Labor Relations policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Manage partnerships across the Division to deliver value-added service to management and employees to enhance workforce retention.

Collaborate with Employee Relations team on more complex issues and investigations. Manage budget plans for department. Negotiate bargaining agreements and interpret labor contracts. Represent organization at hearings and investigations. Contribute to building effective working relationships with internal clients and deliver high-quality professional services to support business strategy and plans. Consult with Division legal staff to ensure adherence to laws, regulations and contacts pertinent to labor relations; plan/implement training programs to inform Division personnel concerning labor relations policies/procedures. Stay abreast of developments related to Labor Relations Title VII, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Labor Laws, ADAAA II, and Policies). Partner with leadership teams to drive performance and build organizational capability including coaching and enabling supervisors and managers toward human-centric leadership. Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

A valid driver's license from state of residence is required.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field is required.

EXPERIENCE

6 years of experience in the coordination of grievance administration procedures, negotiation, interpretation/administration of collective bargaining agreements and preparation of arbitration hearings including 2 years of supervisory experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Must successfully complete NIMS training within one year of entering job. Subject to 24-hour on-call. Works in the office majority of time; occasionally outside. Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
