Job Description

As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for performing admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Patient Access staff are responsible for assigning accurate MRNs, completing medical necessity checks, collecting insurance information, and providing excellent customer service.
Patient Access staff utilize quality auditing systems to ensure accounts are corrected and conduct audits to meet standards.
Pre-register patient accounts, obtain necessary signatures, and explain general consent for treatment forms.
Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and accurately screen medical necessity using designated software.

Qualifications

1+ years of customer service experience
High School Diploma/GED Required
CRCR Required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)
