Job Description

As a Loan Assistant at SouthState, you will be responsible for preparing commercial loan closing packages, coordinating loan closings, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will provide exceptional client service and support to Bankers in various tasks.

Responsibilities

Prepare commercial loan closing packages according to guidelines
Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, insurance agents, and customers
Approve disbursement of closing funds and issue loan proceeds
Ensure accuracy of legal and loan documents
Maintain financial statements, tax return reports, and insurance reports
Provide support and assistance to Bankers

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Commercial Banking support or client service
Knowledge: Understanding of State and Federal lending regulations, Bank policies, and loan products
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills
