Job Description

Join our team at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in North Brooklyn, focusing on delivering high-quality healthcare services to the community. We are seeking a Coordinating Manager - Robotic Coordinator to oversee various healthcare procedures.

Responsibilities

Create procedure approval process in EPIC system.
Troubleshoot insurance, CPT codes, copayments, and financial clearance matters.
Coordinate pre-clearance activities for patients.
Ensure patient meets COVID testing requirements.
Communicate with PAT staff to report barriers.
Assist providers in communication with insurance carriers.
Collaborate with specialty services for patient consults.
Coordinate paperwork for surgery procedures.
Schedule post-op follow-up visits.
Act as a liaison between community physicians and surgical attendings.
Mentor other surgical coordinators.
Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate Degree in relevant field and 3 years of full-time experience OR Masters Degree and 2 years of experience.
Experience in health care and medical support systems environment.
Supervisory or administrative capacity experience.
Certification or licensure may be required.
