Job Description

The Facilities Project Manager supports the planning and administration of maintenance and construction operations for education facilities across the United States. Provides expert guidance to site management by using extensive knowledge of plant operations, maintenance, and building systems to enhance efficiency and performance. Remote based position requiring 85% travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Trains and advises managers in SSC policy and procedures to ensure consistent operational standards.
  • Leads building maintenance and construction, ensuring adherence to established procedures and industry standards.
  • Leverage data to assess outcomes to drive continuous improvement
  • Conducts reviews and evaluations of current methods, programs, and procedures; recommends improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Applies expertise of preventative maintenance programs to optimize operational performance.
  • Supports the recruitment process, conducting interviews, recommending qualified candidates for hire, and facilitating the professional growth and development of team members.
  • Encourages a collaborative work environment by engaging with stakeholders, administration, SSC management, and employees to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Ensures compliance of relevant federal and state laws, regulatory provisions, building codes, ordinances, and other regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Technical Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5+ years Management experience in maintenance/facilities management or other service-related field with high customer/client contact required
  • Budget management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel 85%
