Job Description

Join our team as a Special Education Aide in Lincoln Heights, CA, to provide support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support to assigned student with diverse learning needs, including academic assistance and/or physical support as required.
Support social interactions while maintaining awareness of personal boundaries.
Promote positive peer interactions, cooperation, and turn-taking.
Maintain consistency in daily routines to support student stability.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classroom activities and transitions.
Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff to coordinate support for students.
Foster a gentle and supportive environment for students to encourage positive behavior.
Attend meetings and training, as scheduled.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Required: Bilingual in Spanish.
Minimum of 60 college units or an AA/AS degree preferred.
Coursework at an accredited institution of higher education in child development, education and/or psychology is highly desirable.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
