Job Description

New Castle Building Products is seeking a highly-qualified Boom Operator / Driver for our East Elmhurst location. The ideal candidate will safely transport material, load/unload material from the warehouse, and unload material at the customer's site.

Responsibilities

Operate boom to lift and move building materials
Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms
Determine load weights and check against lifting capacities
Clean, lubricate, and maintain mechanisms
Operate forklift in a safe manner
Ability to lift and move material up to 80 pounds
Possess excellent interpersonal skills
Follow all safety practices and procedures
Attend safety meetings as required
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Articulated Boom Crane or Knuckle Boom Certification
NCCCO certified
Prior experience in building materials a plus
Detail and customer service oriented
OSHA 10 certification
Warehouse and truck mounted forklift experience
At least 2+ years Class A or B experience
CDL Class A or B license with Hazmat Endorsement
