Job Description

Core-Mark is looking for a Warehouse General Manager to oversee warehouse operations, ensure safety, productivity, and efficiency. This role involves leading a team, monitoring operational flow, and improving operation efficiencies.

Responsibilities

Supervising warehouse operations and communicating with employees daily
Developing standard operating procedures for warehousing and transportation
Ensuring equipment is in optimal condition and arranging service actions
Monitoring employee productivity and quality, developing action plans for improvement
Evaluating warehouse activities, customer base, and product mixes to determine personnel and equipment needs
Leading safety policies and practices
Providing instruction, discipline, coaching, and motivation to maintain morale and performance
Handling employee concerns and ensuring warehouse security
Monitoring operational flows, supplies, and inventory counts
Implementing procedures for customer and vendor requests
Collaborating in employee training programs and hiring warehouse candidates
Evaluating warehouse employee activities and performances
Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
4-6 years of warehouse management experience
3+ years of experience managing a team of 75+ associates
Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution
Experience in forecasting and project management
General mechanical, mathematic, and communication skills
Ability to analyze data and improve operational performances
Physical ability to handle objects, navigate the warehouse, and work in varying conditions
