Job Description

Acacia Network is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate financial information for specific areas of the general ledger and financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate all financial reports for government/private grants and contracts.
  • Coordinate external governmental contract audits.
  • Analyze Financial Statements prior to review with EVP and CFO.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparations of the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for assigned entities.
  • Facilitate the development of the budget for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Identify problems or situations to be addressed by department directors.
  • Consult with departments to develop cost accounting standards.
  • Assist in requests for financial information from Senior Management.
  • Complete special projects and financial analysis as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum five (5) years Non-Profit accounting experience required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and New York State Medicaid regulations a plus.
  • Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.
  • Must be able to multi-task with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate verbally and in written form.
