Join Catherine Hershey Schools as an Early Childhood Education Teacher to foster a nurturing environment for young learners, focusing on their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with children to support development and learning in a safe and nurturing environment
  • Enhance social, emotional, and cognitive development through age-specific manipulatives, activities, and language experiences for children
  • Prepare and implement classroom lesson plans linked to child outcomes, program development, and classroom routines/schedules
  • Support children's self-help skills and development
  • Complete all program required documentation, daily attendance and meal participation reports
  • Maintain daily communication with families
  • Observe, assess, and document each assigned child's health, skills, behavior, growth, and development
  • Ensure general classroom management, organization, cleanliness, and maintenance
  • Remain compliant with all state licensing requirements

Qualifications

  • Current Child Development Associate credential or at least 12 college credits in relevant fields
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Bachelor's Degree Preferred)
  • Experience and knowledge in Early Childhood Education program and teaching standards
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based and project approach learning
  • Ability to interact with children and lift items up to 40 pounds
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization
  • U.S. work authorization and background checks clearance
