Job Description

The Software Engineer at CAE USA Inc. will provide technical leadership in design, documentation, implementation, and testing of Datalink simulation models and associated simulator hardware. Must possess advanced technical capabilities in datalink systems and software techniques for flight simulation.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and support datalink system software.
Generate design documents, user guides, and acceptance test procedures.
Enhance or modify existing designs using current industry concepts.
Perform all phases of software implementation.
Assist and train lower-level Datalink Systems engineers.
Give presentations at customer and internal design reviews.
Participate effectively as part of the project team.
Ensure customer and on-site acceptance of Avionics and Navigation systems.

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Minimum 5 years' experience in simulation or software development industry.
Proficiency in C, C++, or ADA programming languages.
Knowledge of datalink systems operation, including technologies such as Civil Datalink, LINK-16, VORTEX, etc.
Extensive knowledge of software interfaces like MIL-STD 1553, Ethernet, Serial, and ARINC 429.
Technical writing, presentation skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Analytical, mathematical modeling, and software development skills.
Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship.
