Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled IT Specialized Support Lead to provide expert IT support for production and research environments within the specific subcluster. The role involves managing specialized IT support services, ensuring the seamless operation of critical systems, and addressing unique challenges in production and research settings.

Responsibilities

  • Specialized IT Support: Provide expert IT support for production and research environments, ensuring high availability and reliability of critical systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical lead for specialized support initiatives, leveraging deep knowledge of production and research IT infrastructures.
  • Service Delivery: Manage the delivery of specialized IT support services, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the IT Subcluster Lead and other IT support teams to ensure cohesive support across all environments. Collaborate with production and research stakeholders to understand and address their unique IT needs.
  • Incident and Problem Management: Lead specialized incident and problem management efforts, minimizing impact on production and research operations. Facilitate effective communication and resolution of complex IT issues.
  • Resource Management: Manage specialized IT support resources, including personnel and technology, to meet operational demands efficiently.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure specialized IT support practices comply with relevant regulations and company policies. Collaborate with security teams to maintain security standards in production and research environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT support or service management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multi-regional teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and support tools.
  • Experience with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and service management platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
