Job Description

Join our team at Manhattan Behavioral Center as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Work with children with autism spectrum disorder and related neurodiversities in a collaborative and transdisciplinary ABA framework.

Responsibilities

Individual treatment of students amounting to 21.5 hours per week
Case management including documentation
Consult with parents, teachers, therapists, and other health care professionals
Participate in identification, formulation, and implementation of yearly goals
Participate in or provide documentation for meetings
Develop and conduct in-services and workshops
Monitor sensory gym and classroom environment
Intakes/screenings of children and families
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Passed the National Board Certification Examination for OTA's
Graduated from an ACOTE-accredited program
Entry-level competence in occupational therapy principles
Ability to apply evidenced-based interventions
