Job Description

Join Ryder as a Warehouse Repair Team Lead in Ontario, California. Immediate full-time position available with competitive pay and great benefits.

Responsibilities

Pallet Repair
Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards
Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table
Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets
Operate a grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components
Quality: Pallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit
Safety and Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety
Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets
Performs duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
3 years or more in Warehouse/Manufacturing/Production Environment preferred
1 year or more in Construction or Carpentry preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work within a diverse work environment
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
Operate power equipment in a safe manner
Lift and/or push/pull up to 70 lbs
