Job Description

TownTasks is seeking a General Manager - Canteen Chief to oversee all aspects of canteen operations in Brooklyn, NY, and at the St. Albans Community Living Center in Queens, NY. The role involves comprehensive personnel management, administrative oversight, and process evaluations related to canteen functions.

Responsibilities

Manage all canteen operations including retail, food service, vending, sales, merchandising, and accountability
Oversee personnel management and administrative functions
Evaluate processes related to planograms, inventory control, food safety, and promotional initiatives
Achieve financial targets and execute program objectives

Qualifications

3-5 years of direct food/retail management experience
Experience with inventory management, supply cost controls, and P&L management
Proven track record in building sales, increasing profits, and staff development
Strong leadership skills with a focus on service and hospitality
Proficient in Microsoft applications and POS systems
ServSafe certification required within 90 days of hire
