Job Description

United Bags, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at their St. Louis distribution centers. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, results-driven, and focused on improving operations and fostering a positive work culture.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse associates
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching

Hands-On Warehouse Operations & Inventory:

  • Manage shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization

Customer Fulfillment:

  • Oversee order processing, shipping, and customer service collaboration
  • Manage freight schedules and deliveries

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce OSHA regulations and safety policies
  • Lead safety meetings, training, and inspections
  • Address hazards promptly

Process Improvement:

  • Identify efficiency opportunities and implement cost-saving measures
  • Use data to drive operational decisions

Facility & Equipment Oversight:

  • Maintain equipment and oversee facility upkeep
  • Coordinate repairs and upgrades

Communication & Reporting:

  • Provide updates to leadership team on operations and staffing

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of warehouse management experience
  • Experience supervising hourly teams

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with ERP or WMS
  • Understanding of inventory and supply chain processes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
