Job Description

WSP is seeking a NACE Inspector to join our Construction Management team in Columbia, MD. The role involves providing inspection support to ensure construction compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.

Responsibilities

Collect, compile, and analyze data for field inspection activities.
Use survey instruments and test equipment to inspect site conditions and materials.
Provide technical assistance for building and infrastructure inspections.
Verify load calculations, change orders, and contract specifications.
Attend meetings, calculate contractor payments, and ensure material standards are met.
Generate accurate documentation related to inspection findings.
Comply with safety guidelines and client policies.
Collaborate with professionals on inspection phases and tasks.
Exercise ethical decision-making and uphold workplace safety.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Minimum 5 years of relevant post-education experience.
Experience in construction inspection, painting, and coating.
NACE Certification required.
Valid state driver's license.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-leadership, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in technical writing and office automation.
Analytical mindset and ability to provide feedback to others.
Proven track record of workplace safety and compliance.
