Job Description

Entry-level professional responsible for the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices. Works under general direction within standard processes for non-routine tasks.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices
Prepares design specifications, analysis, and recommendations for presentation and approval
Analyzes mechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Investigates solutions to product or process problems
Consolidates results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects
Conducts investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications or requirements
Performs product development activities including parametric CAD modeling, drawing creation, and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Electrical Engineering
Detail oriented
Must have good oral and written communication skills
Must be able to solve technical and other business issues in a logical fashion
Experience with CAD software, preference to AutoCAD
Knowledge of PLC, FIO, Racktangle, & VMIC I/O
