Job Description

Entry-level professional responsible for the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices. Works under general direction within standard processes for non-routine tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices
  • Prepares design specifications, analysis, and recommendations for presentation and approval
  • Analyzes mechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Investigates solutions to product or process problems
  • Consolidates results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects
  • Conducts investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications or requirements
  • Performs product development activities including parametric CAD modeling, drawing creation, and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Electrical Engineering
  • Detail oriented
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to solve technical and other business issues in a logical fashion
  • Experience with CAD software, preference to AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of PLC, FIO, Racktangle, & VMIC I/O
