Job Description

Special Education Preschool Teacher position at Esther Ashkenas ELC in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Assess student's needs and abilities, and prepare lesson plans for a self-contained classroom.
  • Design individualized plans utilizing behavioral approach based on theories of applied behavioral analysis and/or TEACCH principles.
  • Create developmentally sound IEP goals and objectives.
  • Prepare daily schedule/lesson plan aligned to educational standards.

Qualifications

  • BA or MA and New York State Certification in Special Education required.
  • Experience in autism preferred.
