Job Description

Join our team as a Senior Peer Specialist at CASES Short-term Alternatives and Referrals to Treatment program. Provide individual and group rehabilitation support to participants with mental health, substance use, education, and employment needs.

Responsibilities

Utilize Motivational Interviewing techniques to engage participants
Conduct group rehabilitation sessions
Conduct physical outreach to connect participants to community-based providers
Plan and deliver peer support services
Complete timely and accurate documentation
Provide culturally sensitive services
Other duties as required

Qualifications

High school degree with related work experience
Graduate of recognized peer specialist training program
Certifications as a New York Certified Peer Specialist or equivalent
History of involvement in the criminal legal system
Strong knowledge of wellness, recovery, and self-help
Effective communication and written skills
Proficiency with computers and databases
